THE LOUISIANA CIVIL LAW NOTARY PUBLIC
The Louisiana Notary Public, unlike notaries in the other 49 states, is a Civil Law Notary. A Louisiana Notary can draft, prepare and execute affidavits, acknowledgments, authentic acts and generally all instruments in writing. Notaries in other states can act only as "witnesses" to a person's signature.
Louisiana's Civil Law System provides for much of our legal documentation to be passed by a Notary, a public official who has qualified for a commission authorizing those powers. Non-attorney notaries must demonstrate a proficiency in legal matters within the scope of this broad power and authority by passing an examination administered by the Louisiana Secretary of State.
OUR FEES
Using our mobile notary service provides you with the proficiency of a Louisiana Civil Law Notary Public combined with the convenience of not having to leave your home or office. The notary will meet you at the location of your choice to professionally and courteously notarize your documents. Our scheduled appointments will ensure that your valuable time is respected and your documents professionally handled.
Our fees are very competitive and are structured based on the number of persons signing the document, the particular document being signed, and the location that we will travel to. Our base fee for general notary work (not including real estate or mortgage loan transactions) includes the following services:
- Confirmation phone call
- Travel time
- Mileage and travel expense to meet our customer at the location of their chosing
- An exclusive, time sensitive appointment, including up to one-half hour of billable time
- Positive identification of the signer
- Overview of documents with signer, if requested
- Recommendations on correct signatures and initials required
- Notarization of documents, including providing one acknowledgment form if needed
In addition to our base fee, we offer additional services for our customer's convenience including:
- Preparing documents requested by customer
- Receiving documents by email, fax, or courier service.
- Providing copies of documents
- Sending documents by email, fax, or courier service.
